Ingredients

Base

  • Pillsbury Biscuit Dough (1 can, typically 8 biscuits)

Cheese Filling

  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese (1 to 1 ½ cups)
  • Optional Cream Cheese (2 oz, softened)

Garlic Butter

  • Butter (¼ cup or 4 tablespoons)
  • Fresh Garlic (2 cloves, finely minced)
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • Fresh Parsley (2 tablespoons, finely chopped)

Seasonings

  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt ¼ cup butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in 2 cloves of finely minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley. Allow the garlic to infuse the butter gently without browning, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Prep the Biscuit Dough: Open the Pillsbury biscuit can and separate the biscuits. On a lightly floured surface, flatten each biscuit into a 3 to 4-inch circle, thin enough to fold but not tear.
  3. Add the Cheese Filling: Place a generous spoonful of shredded cheddar cheese (and cream cheese if using) in the center of each flattened biscuit. Drizzle a little garlic butter over the cheese for extra flavor and moisture.
  4. Form the Cheese Bombs: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough around the cheese, pinching seams tightly to fully seal each cheese bomb and prevent leaks during baking.
  5. Brush with Garlic Butter: Place each sealed biscuit seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Generously brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle a little extra parsley for color.
  6. Bake to Golden Perfection: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 18 minutes or until the biscuits are puffed, golden brown, and the cheese inside is melted and gooey.

Notes

  • Seal Well: Pinch dough seams thoroughly to avoid cheese leaks.
  • Use Room Temperature Cheese: Helps cheese melt evenly and prevents clumping.
  • Brush Twice: Applying garlic butter both before and after baking enhances flavor and moisture.
  • Don’t Overfill: Moderate filling prevents cheese from escaping.
  • Try Baking on Parchment: Prevents sticking and eases cleanup.
