Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Vegetables

  • 8 oz thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
  • 1/2 cup diced green peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Dough and Finishing

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade), about 12 x 8 inches
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef and Veggies: Cook the thinly sliced beef in a hot skillet with 1 tbsp olive oil until nicely browned. Add the diced onions and green peppers and sauté until tender and fragrant. Season the mixture with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Once cooked, remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a rectangle approximately 12 by 8 inches. Ensure the dough is thick enough to hold the filling without tearing.
  3. Layer the Cheese and Filling: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella and provolone cheeses over half of the dough. Spread the beef and vegetable mixture evenly on top of the cheese layer to ensure every bite is flavorful.
  4. Fold and Seal: Fold the dough over the filling completely. Press the edges firmly to seal the breadsticks. Cut small strips along the fold and twist each strip to form individual stuffed breadsticks for even baking and an attractive appearance.
  5. Brush and Add Parmesan: Brush the breadsticks with olive oil for a golden crust. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra cheesiness and flavor.
  6. Bake Until Golden and Melty: Bake the breadsticks in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Choose quality ribeye or sirloin beef for the best tenderness and flavor.
  • Do not overfill the breadsticks to ensure they seal properly and bake evenly.
  • Use room temperature dough for easier rolling and to prevent tearing.
  • Seal edges well using a bit of water or egg wash to help the dough stick firmly.
  • Monitor baking time closely; look for a golden crust and bubbly cheese to avoid overcooking.
