  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Peel and slice the onion and mince the garlic. Measure out your taco seasoning and prepare the tomato sauce or diced tomatoes to set the flavor base.
  2. Layer Ingredients in the Crockpot: Place the chicken at the bottom of the crockpot, sprinkle the sliced onion and minced garlic over it, then pour the tomato sauce or diced tomatoes on top. Evenly sprinkle the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir gently if desired but not required.

  4. Shred the Chicken: Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and mix it into the sauce. Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the shredded chicken to brighten the flavors.
