  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce or oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • Chili flakes or Sriracha, to taste
  • Chopped peanuts or cashews, for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro, Thai basil, or mint leaves, for garnish
  • Toast sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Finely chop garlic, ginger, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and green onions. Rinse and separate the lettuce leaves carefully to keep them whole and crisp. This ensures each bite has a great blend of flavors and textures.
  2. Cook the Chicken Mixture: Heat a pan over medium heat and add a splash of sesame oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add the ground chicken. Break it apart and cook until no longer pink. Toss in chopped mushrooms and water chestnuts, stirring until tender.
